Yoni

Shum Heads -Yoni- Yoni is a sensitive and proud wee soul. She requires a great deal of respect to flourish and never truly trusts anyone, although wishes she could. Her past has developed her wisdom, hardened her slightly and left her with the core belief that she will inevitably be abandoned by those of whom she opens her heart to. She likes attention but can be rather selective on receiving. Her best friend is Taylor. Taylor gives her a rub from time to time to cheer her up, especially if feeling at all grouchy. She is good company for Taylor, who enjoys looking after her and listening to her nonsensical ramblings. Although she doesn't always show it, Taylor knows she appreciates him and this gives him great comfort. Her pride gets the better of her at times and, if not mindful, Yoni can become stubborn and distant. ©Shay Crinkle 2016

Slithery Timbers

He, whose eyes scratch the morning sun with an aching filth that would blacken the brightest of souls, relishes in his glory. For of this very morning, not one but three have successfully fallen into the handsome trap of Master and he knew well that it was his relentless charm that had reeled them in from the start. As he scours the winding streets for more poor lambs such as you or I, his fingers waltzing in the soft breeze. His attention is brought to a fair haired couple, possibly British? German? French? His pupils dilating with the salivating thought that they could perhaps be just as vulnerable as the last. He makes his attack. Desperately fumbling through the left side of his brain for the desired language, he calculates their fragility. A softness, deep within their light green eyes radiates, most deliciously. The Boy With Paper Skin

The boy with paper skin... He walked beside the sea. In his mind. Dreaming of a fine summer's day, such as this one, when the cool fresh water may wash over his feet and tickle his toes, as it did before. Gazing out his window, he watched the happy couples stroll across the promenade, making their way to the beach. The barely covered bodies of the beautiful. The healthy.Their skin seemed flawless as it reflected the shimmer of the sun. Perhaps a cut or bruise disrupted the sheen of their perfect golden limbs but that was all. How he wished for such trivial markings on his own skeletal wrapping. He'd sit for hours, looking out of the window. Watching the world go by. Sometimes he'd liken the window to a TV, only he couldn't change the channel or adapt the brightness. He often preferred it though. It gave more scope for the imagination, he thought.
